When Summer lost its crown
Goodbye Summer, Hello Peace
When I was younger, if you asked me what my favorite season was, I would answer without hesitation: summer.
And while I still love the warmth and the beach that summer brings, I can no longer say it holds the top spot for me. For the past few years, my heart has shifted toward fall.
Fall feels like the gentle exhale after summer’s intensity, the calm after the storm of endless activity. It carries a sense of grounding, of slowing down and finding peace. The air turns crisp, the days get quieter, the grass gets greener and life seems to invite reflection. It’s a season of balance, where the beauty of change feels both humbling and comforting.
There’s something about the rhythm of fall - the golden light, the falling leaves, the subtle stillness that reminds me to embrace transitions instead of rushing past them. It’s no longer just a season for me; it’s a state of mind.
